Overview

Our project team specializes in the real estate area and is very familiar with the applicable industries such as Construction/Development Companies, Commercial and Residential (Single Family or Multi-Family) Properties and the related accounting methods and issues impacting your industry. We continue to be involved with public speaking engagements and radio show appearances in order to stay proactive in the real estate community.

Such methods and issues include:

  • Proper use of Accounting Methods (accrual, cash, percentage of completion, etc.)
  • Cost Segregation Studies
  • Active vs. Passive Investor Analysis
  • Real Estate Professional Classification
  • Like-Kind Exchanges
  • Return on Investment (ROI) Analysis
  • Common Area Maintenance (CAM) Analysis
  • Property Management Resources

In addition to our inside expertise we have strategically aligned ourselves with other professional resources which allows us to effectively and efficiently broaden our expertise and provide the appropriate independence that we feel is necessary when consulting in the real estate industry.

Our engineering/CPA methodology provides a more comprehensive study, including physical inspection of property, discussions with the owners of the property, and proper allocation of all indirect costs. This methodology provides the data and documentation sought by the IRS and has held up to IRS scrutiny.
