Scott Hoyles Receives ABV Designation

Olsen Thielen is happy to announce that one of our Tax Principals, Scott Hoyles, has been awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Scott is Principal-in-Charge of the Firm’s business valuation practice.  He joins Mike Bromelkamp and Laurel Sorensen as members of Olsen Thielen’s professional staff who have received the designation.

Those who earn the ABV credential must:

  • Be a member in good standing with the AICPA
  • Hold a valid CPA certificate or license
  • Demonstrate experience in business valuation
  • Pass a rigorous business valuation exam
  • Demonstrate a history of continuing education

If you are a business owner, want to protect your net worth, or determine how much an asset is worth, you would benefit from professional valuation services to:

  • Assist with selling your business
  • Obtain financing from a lender for the purchase of a business
  • Plan for a merger, acquisition or stock offering
  • Develop an estate or tax plan to protect your net worth
  • Create a succession plan
  • Determine the value of assets and liabilities for a divorce settlement
  • Assist attorneys in litigation
  • File an insurance claim

Whatever its purpose, valuation is a widely used discipline that can play a key role in helping you achieve your financial goals.  Any of Olsen Thielen’s business valuation professionals can give you the answer.  Contact Scott Hoyles at shoyles@otcpas.com, or call him at 651-621-8501
